If you can believe

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Faith, Trust, Value

                                 … all things are possible!

If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.
      Mark 9:23

What do you believe?
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus
and believe in your heart that God has raised Him
from the dead, you will be saved.
      Rom 10:9

Then there is nothing that stops you from getting saved,
… because Jesus has already done it.
All you need do is to receive!

What do you believe?
      But He was wounded for our transgressions;
      He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
and by His stripes we are healed.
      Isa 53:5

Then there is nothing you can do to get healed,
BUT to receive what Jesus has already done!

      You can only receive
… what you believe is already done and available,

because if you are waiting for what is still to be done,
      … you may wait forever!
But if you believe in what He has already done for you,
… and step out in faith on His word,
… according to His instruction (which always is based on love)
      What is done will manifest.

What God has promised, and what Jesus came to do … is done!
You can’t get them to do it again.
However, as James wrote, you have to act on what you believe,

For as the body without the spirit is dead,
so faith without works is dead also.
      James 2:26

Waiting faith will have the same results – waiting results!
Acting faith on the other hand – has active results!
STOP waiting to act on what you believe,
Receive and get ready for the manifestation.

Binding & Loosing

… His will in your life!

Jesus made this statement about why He came to earth,

I have come that they may have life,
and that they may have it more abundantly.
      John 10:10

And, that for this to be a reality in our lives,
He also told us how to get things on this earth to work God’s way,
… saying,

      Assuredly, I say to you,
whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven,
and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
      Matt 18:18

Yes, God wants us to be abundantly blessed, yet Jesus also told us
that whatever happens in our lives, is in our hands, not His!
Because in the end it’s about what we bind and what we loose!

Therefore, if God’s blessings are not manifesting in our lives,
… we need to look at what we are binding and what we are loosing!

Are you binding God’s hands in your life?
or…
Are you loosing God’s hands in your life?

For God’s blessings are not going to happen in your life
… because you’ve told God what you want,
… and going around binding and loosing everything.
But it is going to happen
… when you bind satan’s operations, and
when you loose God’s word, His plans & His purposes!

Therefore, be sure you get to know God’s will for and in your life,
… so you can effectively pray and loose God’s plans for you,
and so that God can do His perfect will in your life!

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you,
you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
      John 15:7

Who do you say

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Covenant, Potential, Relationship

                                                            … that I am?

Jesus often asked His disciples questions,
… although He knew what they knew!
So why did Jesus ask His disciples questions?

Well, let’s have a look at one of those questions,
… and probably the most important question he ever asked them.

Now Jesus and His disciples went out to the towns of
Caesarea Philippi; and on the road He asked His disciples,
saying to them, “Who do men say that I am?
      So they answered, “John the Baptist; but some say, Elijah;
and others, one of the prophets.”
      …
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?
Peter answered and said to Him, “You are the Christ.”
      Mark 8:27-29

Jesus was teaching His disciples that,
… it is not important what others say,
… but what is important is what you say.
Jesus wanted them to realize that,
God can only be as big in your life – as you see Him.
God can only do for you – what you believe He is able to do.
God can only bless you – if you are ready to receive from Him.

Our relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit,
… is either personal or there is no relationship!
It does not matter what others think,
… and whether they are right or wrong.
“But who do you say that I am?”

We all have to have a personal revelation of who Jesus is, otherwise
… how will He be real in our lives, and
… how will we be able to show Him to others!

What is not alive in us,
… we cannot live and we cannot share!

Part of your decisions

Posted on 2 CommentsPosted in Challenge, Life, Trust

                                               … and in your life!

Do I really have to decide?
Can’t I just let things happen and let God’s will be done?

No! You have to decide!
God gave you a free will,
so like it or not,
… you have to make decisions!
And, not only do you have to make decisions,
you have to take the responsibility for your decisions!

I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you,
      that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing;
      therefore (you) choose life,
      Deut 30:19

Doesn’t God have the last say anyway?
No, you have …
but you should make God part of your decision,
… and always make all decisions with Him, with God.

Unless you make God part of the decision,
… He cannot be part of the provision,
Unless you make God part of the decision,
… He won’t be part of the outcome of the decision.

For only if you make Him part of the decision,
… can God direct your steps to the right way,
… can God provide what is necessary along the way,
and honour your decision to honour Him!

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you,
you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
      John 15:7

A Perfect Plan

And God said, let us …

Some time before the foundation of the earth (or thereabouts),
the Father said to Jesus,
I want to have some children of my own!
Jesus looked at the Father saying,
That is a super idea, but if they are to be children of yours,
they are going to have to be real special!

You are right,  the Father replied,
and that is why I plan that they should be just like you, Jesus!
Jesus smiled,
That’s wonderful! However Father, have you given it enough thought,
because for them to truly be children of yours,
they are going to have to be able to decide for themselves!

The Father nodded,
Yes I know, giving them a free will could be tricky,
but unless we do it that way, there is no reason to do it!

Jesus said,
Well I think it is a great plan and a wonderful opportunity to live love
… Agape, the very thing that you are Father!

Yes! the Father replied excitedly,
Let’s do it, let’s express what is in us, because what is in us is the fullness of life,
and is more than enough to be able to counter any challenge.

I like that, Jesus added,
and I will be there to help you make it possible Father!
Just then the Holy Spirit interrupted them saying,
Do you realize how unpredictable children are?
Yes we do,
they answered.
And, the Holy Spirit continued, do you realize what it takes to raise children,
to teach them to make the right decisions, and to stand by those decisions?

Yes we do, they answered, and that is why we have decided to give you the job!
What job? the Holy Spirit asked surprised.
The job, the Father replied, to help, teach, guide and show our children,
not just what to do and to choose, but also those things to come,
so that they will be prepared for life, and so they will know
how to receive life and walk in the fullness of life,
that life that Jesus will restore to them when they fail!

The Holy Spirit smiled and said,
I thought there was a catch somewhere,
but I still think it is a great plan!

Having thus agreed together, God said …
Let Us make man in Our image and according to Our likeness …!
      Genesis 1:26

That Tree

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Character, Commitment, Trust

                                                     … what about it?

In most peoples’ eyes, the tree of the knowledge of good & evil,
… was put there by God to test man and his obedience.
But in actual fact that tree was there for exactly the opposite reason,
to confirm man’s trust in God.

Consider this … man was created in God’s image,
… and in God’s image man obviously knows good,
so also evil, as that is simply the opposite of what good is!
However, what is missing and what man does not know,
… is how to live or apply good in and to life.
We need God’s guidance to know exactly what God planned,
and how He planned for us to live His goodness, His love.

God not only put us in charge of creation,
… but He also gave us a free will,
so that our decisions would be real and would be truly valid.
Therefore for us to live those lives God created us to live,
… we need His input, His guidance, His wisdom.

and the only way we can truly live that is by explicitly trusting Him!

So, that Tree was what God put in our lives as our link,
… our connection, and our acceptance of His place as Lord,
that place of trust in Him.
There, where in all things in life, good or bad,
… God is the guide, God is the decision maker,
otherwise God is not God in our lives,
because we don’t truly trust Him with our lives!

Accept that tree, and put your trust fully in God,
… and all that He planned, the fullness of His blessing will be yours!

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
      I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
      Ps 91:1-2

Covenant talks about trust, Faith talks about trust,
Victory talks about trust, Peace talks about trust,
Trust Love and as He is so will you be in this world!
      (1 John 4:17)

Why Tongues?

Posted on 1 CommentPosted in Faith, Relationship, Trust

… because it’s His perfect will!

Speaking in tongues has always been a touchy subject,
… although the reason why God decided for it,
is so simple and so powerful!

So, why is speaking and particularly praying in tongues,
… a crucial part of our relationship with God?

Of course one can say that it puts God in control,
… that it is therefore liberating and powerful,
because we are praying His will when we don’t know what to do.
      (Rom.8:26-27)

However, that is the result of praying in tongues,
BUT why is praying in tongues important to God,
… what is it that makes it so powerful and so important!

Our minds, our senses and actions are mainly based on the physical,
… and our response to God is mainly based on His Word.
We therefore trust in what we see or in what God’s Word says!
But what does God want us to trust in?

God wants us to trust Him completely,
… not because of what we need,
… not because of what we see,
… not because of what we have found in His Word,
but because of what He wants that we don’t know!

Words are vital, words are creative
… and the spirit realm responds to words.

So for God’s perfect will to be done, we need to speak what He says,
and the only way that it is truly His words and will,
… is when He speaks through us without us being in control,
but as vessels in His hands, so His will can be done!
      (Rom.9:21)

That is in fact the reality of being in God’s rest,
… where God is exclusively in control,
… and where His perfect will is done!

And we know that God causes everything to work together
for the good of those who love God …
      Rom 8:28 (NLT)

A New Life

Posted on 3 CommentsPosted in Challenge, Commitment, Responsibility

                                                               … in Him!

Because of Jesus and what He did for us on the cross,
… the Bible confirms this amazing truth to us,

      Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
      old things have passed away;
behold, all things have become new.

      2 Cor 5:17

Yet in living that new life, it so often seems,
that actually all things have not become new!
Take for instance love or even a simple thing like patience.

Before we became a new creation in Christ,
… most of us were rather unlovely and often very impatient.
However, since I am a new creation,
… has the way I was before suddenly also changed?
If we are honest we have to say no, it has not!

So what happened to this new creation?
If I am a new creation, why has there been so little change?

How do we take hold of a promise, and make it real in our lives?
The same way as everything in life becomes real in us,
… as Paul wrote,

      work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
for it is God who works in you both to will and to do
      for His good pleasure.
      Phil 2:12-13

For those plans and promises of God to become real in my life,
… I have to live them, and not expect God to live them for me, in me!
God wants to work His good pleasure in me,
… but it is my decision and my responsibility to live His way.

God is serious about His promises,
and gave the Holy Spirit as our helper,

… but He is also as serious about not overriding our freewill.

In other words,
Live out your own salvation, which God is eager to help you live.
All you need do is admit you need help,
… and live what God prepared for you!

Willing & Obedient

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Character, Potential, Promises

… eat the good of the land!

There are many promises in the Bible
… that tell us that God wants to bless us abundantly,
such as for instance …

If you are willing and obedient,
      You shall eat the good of the land;
      Isa 1:19

However, so many people are obedient,
… doing all they can to obey God’s commandments,
yet they are NOT prospering,
… and are not eating the good of the land!
Why not?

      God said ‘willing and obedient’
Obedience on its own is doing what you are told to do,
… regardless of whether you want to or not!
Is that what God wants or expects?
      No!

God gave us a free will, and He wants us to freely choose,
… and to honour Him with our lives,
also saying to us …

that you may love the Lord your God,
that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him,
      Deut 30:20

If you are willing, freely desiring to do what God says,
… because you want to walk in His good plans for your life, then
God’s presence and His promises will manifest in your life.

A willing heart hears, and a willing heart receives!

No Barrier – No more!

Posted on 1 CommentPosted in Grace, Love, Value

                                               Love removed the barrier!

God is LOVE,
… and Love expresses Himself in what He does.
Therefore, when man messed up
… Love set out to put things right.
How?
By expressing who He is?

For God so loved the world that He gave
His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life.
      John 3:16

God sent Jesus, who is the word of God,
… to express who He is to us,
… and who He is in us!

We needed be saved, healed and restored,
And how did God do that?
… through Love,

He sent His word and healed them,
and delivered them from their destructions.

      Ps 107:20

How did God do that?
By removing the barrier that separated us from Love!
The result was …

Love has been perfected among us in this:
      that we may have boldness in the day of judgment;
because as He is, so are we in this world.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear …
We love Him because He first loved us.
      1 John 4:17-19

Step into love, into His presence,
Where Love is, and where you are the loved!
