Who should God
listen to …?

Having a wet
party … again?
You planned a garden party, a barbecue around the pool,
… and as the day approached, the weather turned bad,
… you got together with your friends,
… prayed, agreed and asked God for good weather,
… but lo and behold …
… another wet party!
!!!
I thought God supplies all our needs?
Why did God not answer that prayer?
???
Well, did you consider the possibility that someone else
also prayed?
Did you consider that maybe your neighbor prayed for rain!
… it could be that he planted grass and trees, then asked
God for rain!
Which prayer should God answer?
???
Is the answer to invite all your neighbors to your
parties?
No! of course not!
How then should you pray so that God will or can answer?
And this is
the confidence that we have in him, that,
if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

Firstly …
… If you want God to answer your prayers …
… then you must pray according to His will!
Now that would seem easy …
… but …
How do you find God's will about things not written in the Bible?
How are you going to find God's will for a party?
… simple …
Whatever you plan … plan it with God
A man's
heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

If you make
plans and afterwards ask God to bless them …
… then you are likely to have a wet party!
… but …
If you make God part of your plans … and
…
If you ask God to bless the planning and not the party!
… then …
Your plan and your party will be
blessed!
In all thy
ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
